ABOUT
I’m a documentary filmmaker driven by principles of collaboration and co-design. I believe the path to a fair and equitable future lies in moving away from paternalistic systems of control that concentrate power and representation in the hands of a few. My participatory filmmaking practice embodies these values by partnering with change-making organisations to create films that amplify marginalised voices and address critical social issues, from the wellbeing of displaced peoples to environmental advocacy. Through my work, I aim to challenge dominant narratives that scapegoat and divide, while actively contributing to more inclusive and compassionate conversations that drive tangible social change.
I am a founding member of 99p Films, a community interest company that hosts events combining documentaries, facilitated discussions, and communal feasts to engage people with social and environmental issues. Through these events we aim to foster community dialogue and explore actionable local solutions.
